Many of our beloved mountains have a naming story. The great love of one mountain by a man who led others through his involvement in the Colorado Mountain Club has been immortalized with a mountain in his name. Known for years as Old Baldy, the CMC petitioned the U.S. Board of Geographic Names to change the name to Mount Malcolm Lindsey in 1953.
