The new Old Faithful Visitor Center celebrates Yellowstone's extraordinary natural wonders—the world's greatest array of geysers, hot springs, mud pots, and steam vents—with a series of dynamic exhibits, a fun family learning area, and a comprehensive library and resource room. The center also carries the distinction of being the first building in Yellowstone (and one of the few in the National Park system) to achieve Gold Level LEED certification. As part of the LEED process, almost 100% of construction waste was recycled and the building's design will result in 1/3 less energy use than a similar traditional structure.
