El Diente, Spanish for "the tooth", is located in the San Miguel Range of the San Juan Mountains. Because it does not meet the guidelines of being at least 300 feet higher that its neighbor it is not technically a 14er. However, when challenge is considered, few would deny that summiting it is a worthy achievement.
