Cannon Mountain is famous for the formation of three ledges, referred to as Old Man of the Mountain. Since 1917 it was known as "Profile Mountain." The profile came to an end in May of 2003 when the east cliff collapsed, forever changing the face of Cannon Mountain. What remains, however, is everything it has offered for generations—challenging technical climbs, hiking trails, downhill skiing, and year round recreation.
